How Do Coating Rollers Work?

1. Double-roll coating. The process of double-roll coating requires the participation of the back roller and coating roller. When the object to be coated passes through the coating roller, the coating roller takes the coating from the coating groove and transfers it to the object between the coating roller and the back roller, and brings the remaining coating back to the coating groove.

2. Three-roll coating. Three-roller coating requires three types of rollers, including coating roller, transfer roller, and back roller. The principle of three-roll coating and double-roll coating is basically the same, and the main function of the transfer roller is to transfer the coating on the coating roller to the object that needs to be coated. The coating speed and amount can be adjusted by adjusting the running speed and gap between each roller.
3. Reverse roller coating.
There are various coating methods for reverse coating, such as three-roll reverse or four-roll reverse. When reversing the operation of the coating roller, the back roller and the quantitative roller rotate in reverse, transferring the coating to the object that needs to be coated. The amount of coating is mainly affected by the gap between the rollers and the operating speed.
